Project Inkslinger®

Project Inkslinger® was founded in 1993, when the Mississippi and its tributaries flooded parts of the Midwest and South. Several schools and libraries in Kansas and Iowa, for example, lost their entire collections to water damage. Mensans across the country worked together to gather books to replenish those collections in need.

Since then, the project has evolved to support tutoring programs and specialized programs as well as libraries and schools. Donated books bear the Project Inkslinger® bookplate with Mensa logo.

If you are interested in helping get books to people who need them, contact the Project Inkslinger Coordinator.
