Five groups earn Group of the Year Awards (GOTYAs)

At the awards ceremony at the Annual Gathering in Philadelphia, Pa., five local groups were named American Mensa, Ltd., (AML) 2000 Group of the Year. The winners of this prestigious award are:

Class V:Borderline Mensa
Class IV:Northwest Florida Mensa
Class III:Cincinnati Mensa
Class II:San Diego Mensa
Class I:Southeast Michigan Mensa


Borderline Mensa (Ariz.) was the only local group to repeat its winning ways, having won the first GOTYA in its class at the 1999 AG.

Members from the winning groups were photographed beside the attractive banner proclaiming their award. The banners are designed to be used for future recruiting efforts at test sites, for on-campus student organization display, National Testing Day, Mensa at the Mall, monthly meetings, or wherever the group wants to boast of its accomplishment!
