Comments: There are four local groups in Pennsylvania. Lehigh Pocono Mensa is located in the northeastern part of the state and includes the cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, Wilkes Barre, Scranton, and Stroudsburg.
Most of the area encompassed by our local group was previously a part of Delaware Valley Mensa. But as interest grew and more members got involved, members felt that they could support themselves as a separate group. So Lehigh Pocono was born in June of 1987. They have the distinct honor of being the first local group to have held a regional gathering before they were even a local group! |
