Arlington, Texas (September 26, 2003) - On October 18, Americans will have a chance to find out how smart they really are.
American Mensa, the high IQ society, will hold its sixth National Testing Day on October 18, 2003. Local Mensa groups across the country will administer the Mensa Admissions Test at more than 150 test sites on that day. A list of test sites may be found at us.mensa.org.
Anyone who scores in the top two percent on the Mensa Admissions Test will be invited to join the organization. The test is open to anyone age 14 and older. The test fee is $30.
Many people have already taken a test that qualifies them for membership in Mensa. Over 200 standardized intelligence tests are accepted for membership. These tests include the Stanford-Binet, Miller Analogies, and Wechsler Adult and Children Scales. A partial list of accepted tests and scores may be found at us.mensa.org.
American Mensa is an organization open to anyone who scores in the top two percent on an accepted, standardized intelligence test. The organization has more than 50,000 members in the United States and more than 100,000 members around the world. Members of Mensa attend local and national events, join special interest groups such as astronomy and philosophy, and help out in their communities through various projects.
